A victory of transparency, Fadnavis says after big BJP win in Maharashtra

While thanking the people of the state for support, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it was his guidance that led to the BJP’s victory

This is huge victory for the BJP and it is on the agenda of transparency said Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following a resounding victory in the local body elections in Maharashtra. It is a vote for transparency he said at a press conference before which he was felicitated.

The victory reflects the support for the prime minister, Fadnavis said. "It was his guidance which led us to victory," he said. He thanked the people of Maharashtra for their support.

He said that there is a tie for the number one slot while announcing that the BJP had won 82 out of the 227 seats in the BMC elections. While terming the victory as unprecedented, he further added that the party had fared well in the zilla parishads.
