8th Pay Commission Latest Announcement: Big Pay Hike For Central Government Employees, Pensioners

8th Pay Commission latest update: Central government employees and pensioners, who have been demanding a pay hike for a long time, can now look forward to a positive development. The formation of the 8th Pay Commission is on the horizon.

The government establishes a new pay commission every 10 years, and it's now time for the 8th Pay Commission to be set up. There are strong indications that the government will announce the formation of the 8th Pay Commission in the 2025 budget.

8th Pay Commission

Once the 8th Pay Commission is implemented, significant increases are expected in both the minimum and maximum salaries of government employees. The minimum salary could rise from ₹18,000 to ₹34,560, which is a 52% increase.

Pensioners will also benefit from the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. The current minimum pension of ₹9,000 could rise to ₹17,280 under the new pay structure.

The Fitment factor will also see an increase under the 8th Pay Commission. If the Fitment factor increases by 3, it could lead to a 15-20% rise in the salaries of all employees, including allowances.

According to recent updates, a meeting is expected to be held in November by the Joint Advisory Body to discuss the 8th Pay Commission. The meeting will consider the service conditions of employees, and trade unions will present their demands for the pay commission.
