8 People Killed In Fire Cracker Unit Blast In Tamil Nadu
A devastating explosion at a firecracker unit in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district claimed the lives of eight individuals, including three women, as reported by the police on Saturday. The sudden blast occurred in the firecracker manufacturing godown situated in Pazhayapettai within the district, leaving several others injured. The impact of the explosion caused significant damage to nearby houses and some shops in the vicinity of the unit.
Swiftly responding to the emergency, the police, along with fire and rescue services personnel, rushed to the scene to rescue those affected. As of now, 12 critically injured individuals have been rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

The fire tenders and rescue teams present at the site have been tirelessly working to extinguish the fire and safely extract people who may still be trapped inside the debris.
The district collector reported that a hotel building was completely demolished by the force of the explosion, and three to four neighboring houses suffered partial damages due to the impact.
The situation remains tense as the rescue teams continue their efforts to ascertain the total number of individuals trapped under the rubble.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are yet to determine the cause of the tragic explosion that resulted in significant loss of life and property.
