76 Students In Greater Noida Hospitalized After Consuming Mahashivratri Food
According to the reports, 76 students were hospitalized on Saturday in Greater Noida after consuming meals made for students who were observing Mahashivratri fast. The reports said all these students study in different colleges in Noida and Greater Noida and stay at Aryan Residency in the Knowledge Park area. They were rushed to a nearby hospital after they complained of uneasiness, dizziness, and vomiting.
According to the police reports, the pooris served special food made of 'kuttu ka atta' (buckwheat flour), which led to the tragic incident, which hints at food poisoning cases.

The local police told the media, "Around 76 students had their dinner and then complained of their stomachs getting upset. All the students were taken to different hospitals and their condition is stable now".
A case has been lodged against the owner of the hostel and the matter is being probed, said an investigating officer. The police also called a team of local food safety departments to take samples and find the exact cause of the incident.
"The team will collect samples of food items and raw materials used to prepare the dinner. The samples would be analyzed and legal proceedings initiated accordingly," an official reported to the news agency PTI.
The police underlined that there is no issue of law and order and everything is in control.
Reacting to the incident, a student said that they consumed food separately cooked for students who were fasting that day.
"We had dinner at around 9.30 pm. I started feeling dizzy by 10.30 pm and then went to sleep. Some friends then noticed that a lot of students had started complaining of dizziness, uneasiness, vomiting," said a student admitted to the hospital after complaining of food poisoning.
