65-year-old gang raped in UP

Lucknow, Jan 20: A 65-year-old woman was gang raped in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district, police said on Tuesday.

It appears that the woman died of excessive bleeding following the incident, police said.

The incident took place near Chatti in Ghazipur. The incident came to light on Monday when passersby heard calls for help from a house. On entering the house, they saw a semi-naked woman lying in a pool of blood.

The woman died on her way to a hospital, police said.

Police have lodged a case against four people.

Four bottles of liquor, glasses and some other items were recovered from the crime scene.
