5 pedestrians run over in Punjab
Kapurthala (Punjab), Feb 8: Five pedestrians, including four women, were killed when a vehicle ran over them near Khiranwali village on the Kapurthala-Goindwal Sahib road early on Monday, Feb 8.
The victims were going to a gurudwara in the village to pay obeisance when the vehicle hit them, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Narinder Kaur, Kulwant Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur, Harjinder Kaur and her son Balwinder Singh.
Police said while the women were in their early 50s, Balwinder Singh was aged around 30 years. All the bodies were brought to the local civil hospital for post mortem examination.
Police have registered a case against the unknown vehicle driver.
