Odisha: 4 of family on way to celebrate Holi die in mishap, 2 hurt
Sambalpur (Odisha), Mar 6: Four members of a family, including two women and a baby girl, were killed and two seriously injured as the car they were travelling in, hit a tree in the Bhatli area in Odisha's Bargarh district today, police said.
The family members of Hemant Jain of Rengali camp in Attabira area were on their way to Shyam Baba temple at Bhatli to celebrate Holi when the car hit a tree at Pipalmunda, killing three occupants on the spot, a police officer said.

While Hemant Jain's wife Seema Jain (36), son Kanha Jain (5) and maid Kunti Behera (50) died on the spot, his 7-month-old daughter Paree succumbed to her injuries enroute to hospital, the officer said.
Hemant and his sister Priyanka Jain sustained injuries in the accident and were admitted to hospital for treatment after being rescued by the local residents.
A pall of gloom descended on the village and the mourning residents stopped celebrating Holi today, a villager said.
