Punjab: 3 school children, bus driver killed in road accident
Hoshiarpur in Punjab is accident prone. 31 people have been killed in road accidents between 2013 and 2017.
Hoshiarpur, April 7: Four, including three school children were killed after the school bus collided with a minitruck in Hoshiarpur, Punjab on Friday morning. Several others were injured in the mishap.
Following the accident, police rushed to the spot and carried out relief work. The injured have been shifted to hospital. A case was registered and an investigation is underway.
On August 8, 2016, Seven people were killed and 31 people severely hurt after a bus lost control on the Hoshiarpur-Chintpurni highway. According to the police, the incident took place due to faulty brakes.
Similarly, 20 people lost their lives and 30 others were severely injured after a truck with people onboard fell into a gorge near Hoshiarpur on October 10, 2013.
