21-year-old Delhi woman gangraped in pretext of offering a job

New Delhi, Jan 12: A 21-year-old Delhi woman was allegedly gang-raped by two persons, one of whom promised to get her a job here, police said on Jan 11.

According to a complaint lodged by the woman, she was gang-raped ten days back by Subodh and one Pratap whom she knew since past three months and the duo had also promised to get her a job, they said.

The woman, a resident of Mangolpuri in Delhi, also said that as a graduate, she was looking for a job and befriended Pratap three months back and even travelled with him to places like Faridabad, Delhi and adjoining areas in search of a job.

She alleged that 10 days back she was gang-raped by Pratap and Subodh in a house after one of them spiked her drink following which she got unconscious, they said, adding that she boarded a bus to Delhi from Daurala Bus stand.

A case has been registered after medical examination of the victim and efforts are being made to nab the culprits, police said, adding that the call details are being tracked to trace the accused.
