How Many Seats Will BJP Win In 2024 Lok Sabha Elections? PM Modi Makes Bold Prediction

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the BJP-led NDA will return to power in 2024 again. The general elections are scheduled to be held in May, this year.

In his reply to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address, the PM said the NDA would cross 400 seats out of which the BJP would win 370, a subtle reference to Article 370.

"The third term of our government is not very far now. Only 100-125 days remain to go. I don't go into numbers but I can see the mood of the country. It will make the NDA cross 400 and BJP will definitely get 370 seats," Modi said in the Lok Sabha.

He also promised the nation that India would emerge as the third-largest economy in the world in his third term. "On the basis of the experience of these 10 years, and looking at the strong economy and the manner in which the country is developing, I can firmly say that in our third term, India will become the world's third-biggest economy, and this is 'Modi Guarantee'," the Prime Minister stated in his reply to the 'Motion of Thanks' on the President's address in Lok Sabha.

Going by the survey predictions, the BJP is expected to return to power.

An opinion poll conducted by ABP News-CVoter Opinion Poll in January claimed that the BJP-led NDA would get around 295-335 seats, while the opposition Congress and its INDIA allies are projected to get 165-205 seats. However, it had noted that the opposition INDIA bloc "could do better" than the BJP in states like Bihar, Punjab, Maharashtra and Telangana.

Since then, cracks have emerged in the Opposition as Nitish has left the INDIA bloc. The TMC and the AAP in Congress are expected to go solo in West Bengal and Punjab, respectively, as the seat-sharing issue could not be sorted out.
