2 Killed, Several Injured In Communal Violence In Haryana's Nuh
At least two home guards were shot dead and seven policemen injured in the massive violence that broke out in Haryana's Nuh district after two communities clashed during a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) rally on Monday. The police used tear gas and fired shots in the air to clear the crowd.
Around 2,500 people including men, women, and children have been rescued. The people who were stranded at the Nulhar Mahadev temple had come to take part in the religious procession.

The cause of the situation was the alleged presence of Monu Manesar, a prominent cow vigilante and member of Bajrang Dal, who is wanted for the murder of two men in Rajasthan, during the VHP rally.
More than one thousand police personnel have been deployed to control the situation. In addition to this, officials used loudspeakers to instruct residents to stay in their homes. Additional police forces have been urgently summoned from neighboring districts Palwal, Faridabad, and Rewari. Police also conducted a flag march following the unrest.
Reportedly, shops around Tiranga Park, Naya Bazar, Gali Bazar and Hodal Bypass have been shuttered. Streets were seen enveloped in black smoke.
The police tracked Monu Manesar after he released a video earlier in the day, suggesting his presence in the yatra. The police team from Rajasthan's Bharatpur was sent to Nuh to arrest him.

Monu Manesar, a self-proclaimed cow protector, is wanted for the abduction and murder of Nasir (25) and Junaid alias Juna (35) in February, both residents of Ghatmeeka village in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. A case was registered against him on February 7 at Pataudi police station.
All Schools, Colleges Shut In Gurugram, Faridabad
Due to communal clashes, the Haryana government has made the decision to shut down all educational institutions in the districts of Gurugram and Faridabad. The District Magistrate's office has issued an order stating that all private and government schools will remain closed tomorrow, August 1, in the aforementioned districts.
The government has taken this decision in light of the communal tension prevailing in the neighboring district of Nuh. Anti-social elements have blocked all the roads in district Gurugram, aiming to disrupt peace and public order. To prevent any untoward incidents, the government has chosen to close all government and private educational institutions in the district, considering the current circumstances.
