19-Year-Old Food Delivery Executive In Chennai Dies By Suicide After Woman Customer Scolded Him For Delay
A 19-year-old food delivery executive in Chennai, Pavithran, tragically died by suicide on Wednesday, allegedly after being scolded by a customer. Pavithran, who was also a B.Com student, was found at his residence, with a suicide note blaming the customer for his distress.
The incident occurred on September 11, when Pavithran, delivering food in the Korattur area, faced difficulty locating the customer's house, causing a delay. The delay led to a heated argument, during which the customer reprimanded him and later filed a formal complaint regarding the service.

Two days later, tensions escalated when Pavithran allegedly threw a stone at the customer's residence, breaking a window. This led the customer to file a police complaint against him.
On Wednesday, Pavithran was found hanging in his home. Kolathur Police arrived, recovered his body, and sent it to Kilpauk Government Hospital for an autopsy. A suicide note, believed to be written by Pavithran, was found at the scene.
In the note, Pavithran expressed his emotional distress, stating, "The reason for my death - I went into depression after being scolded by the person during the delivery. More deaths will occur as long as such women exist."
Police have launched an investigation into the case.
