19-Kg Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Reduced: Check Revised Rates In Your City
On January 1, 2025, businesses and commercial establishments received a financial respite as the cost of commercial LPG cylinders saw a decrease. In Delhi, the price for a 19-kg cylinder was reduced to Rs 1,804, down from Rs 1,818.5, marking a reduction of Rs 14.5 per cylinder. This price adjustment is part of a broader initiative by oil marketing companies to reduce expenses for consumers at the start of the New Year.
Prices for commercial LPG cylinders now stand at Rs 1,756 in Mumbai, Rs 1,911 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,966 in Chennai after the latest adjustment. These changes reflect the regional differences in LPG pricing, influenced by local taxes including VAT, which can cause variations across different states and cities.

Despite these reductions in commercial LPG costs, the price for domestic LPG cylinders, commonly used in households, remains steady at Rs 803 for a 14.2-kg cylinder. This stability comes amidst fluctuations in commercial LPG pricing, highlighting a distinct approach to managing commercial and domestic fuel prices.
Adding to the economic relief, the cost of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) was also decreased by 1.54 per cent. This brought the price down to Rs 90,455.47 per kl in the national capital, which is a significant reduction of Rs 1,401.37 per kilolitre. This cut in ATF prices is especially relevant for the aviation industry, directly impacting operational costs and potentially the cost of air travel.
The decision to reduce commercial LPG and ATF prices follows a period of five consecutive monthly increases in commercial LPG rates, culminating in a hike of Rs 16.5 per 19-kg cylinder in December. Over these five increases, the price had escalated by Rs 172.5 per cylinder, a trend that has now been reversed with the latest reduction.
This move to cut fuel prices, particularly for commercial LPG and jet fuel, comes as a welcome development for businesses and the aviation sector alike. It reflects an effort by fuel retailers to ease financial pressures and support economic activity by making energy more affordable.
