15 IPS Officers Transferred: Uttar Pradesh Govt Makes Major Administrative Changes
The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday made significant changes to its police force by transferring 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. This reshuffle aims to bolster the state's law enforcement and governance. The appointments span various districts and units, reflecting a strategic approach to enhance policing across the state.
Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma has been appointed as the in-charge Additional Police Commissioner for the Prayagraj Commissionerate. His role is crucial for improving the policing framework in this vital area. Dr. Kaustubh will now serve as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jaunpur, while Keshav Kumar takes charge in Ambedkar Nagar.

Key Transfers and Appointments
Aparna Rajat Kaushik, an experienced officer, assumes her new role as SP in Amethi. Ankita Sharma has been transferred to Kasganj as SP, and Anup Kumar Singh is now Commandant of the 35th Battalion of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) in Lucknow. These appointments are part of a broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement.
Vikrant Veer has been posted as SP of Deoria, while Dr. Omveer Singh takes over as SP of Ballia. Their expertise is expected to play a vital role in maintaining law and order in these regions. Ramnayan Singh becomes SP of Bahraich, with Chiranjeev Nath Singh taking on the same role in Hathras.
Uttar Pradesh Enhancing Law Enforcement
Prachi Singh will lead the 32nd Battalion of PAC in Lucknow, marking another key appointment in this reshuffle. Dr. Abhishek Mahajan is now SP in Siddharthnagar, and Sankalp Sharma serves as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) at the Lucknow Commissionerate. These changes aim to streamline operations and enhance security measures.
Vrinda Shukla has been appointed SP for the UP 1090 Women's Helpline, focusing on women's safety across the state. Nipun Agarwal joins as DCP at the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, further strengthening leadership within this critical unit.
