11 non-Cong, non-BJP parties to meet in Delhi today

The parties, including the Janata Dal United, the Samajwadi Party, the AIADMK, the Janata Dal Secular, the Biju Janata Dal and the Left, will prepare a common charter to provide an alternative to the two giant national parties - Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
However, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress has ruled out joining the third front. Also, Bihar leader Lalu Prasad's RJD has called it a failure. "In the third front, everyone wants to be the PM. I cannot be a part of it," Lalu said.
Last week, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had called the third front 'migratory birds'. He had also said that third front constituents are Congress supporters in a different name.
