As part of the hospital’s ongoing free healthcare programme for economically disadvantaged patients, MAMS Hospitals successfully completed more than 100 free Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgeries, including over 40 surgeries performed under the latest phase of the initiative. The programme provides completely free knee replacement surgeries, including imported implants, to eligible patients suffering from severe knee disorders, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Puvvada Nayan Raj said that dedicating his birthday to community service gives him immense satisfaction. He noted that many patients continue to suffer from debilitating knee conditions because they cannot afford surgery. With the objective of ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent anyone from receiving advanced medical treatment, the hospital launched the free knee replacement programme and will continue to expand such initiatives in the future.

Dr. Nayan Raj also highlighted that since its inception, MAMS Hospitals has been providing free maternity kits to economically underprivileged mothers. Expanding the programme under the leadership of Executive Director Mrs. Puvvada Aparna Raj, the hospital now provides financial assistance of ₹5,000 for the birth of a baby boy and ₹6,000 for the birth of a baby girl to eligible families. The initiative aims to support mothers during childbirth, promote maternal and child welfare, and encourage the birth of the girl child.

Former Transport Minister and Chairman of Mamata Educational Society, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, said that the Society has always believed that quality education and quality healthcare should be accessible to every deserving individual.
