You Can't Beat Modi Alone: Owaisi Slams Congress After Haryana's Poll Defeat

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has criticised Congress for its loss in the Haryana elections. He suggested that the party should collaborate with others to challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

He urged Congress to understand his message: unity is essential to defeat Modi and BJP. "You have to take everyone along to defeat Modi (BJP). You will not be able to do anything alone," he advised.

Speaking at a public event in Vikarabad, Telangana, he warned of social unrest if the waqf amendment bill becomes law.

Owaisi questioned how Congress lost in Haryana despite AIMIM not contesting there. "How did they (BJP) win (Haryana)? I was not there. Otherwise, they would have said 'B Team'...They lost there. Now, you tell me, they lost because of whom?," he said, addressing a public meeting at Vikarabad.

Waqf Bill Concerns

Owaisi expressed strong opposition to the proposed Waqf Bill. He claimed that if it becomes law, mosques and dargahs could be taken away. "I am telling Modi, if this waqf law is made, social instability would be created in the country. We will take the country to the 1980s and 1990s. We lost one mosque. We will not lose any mosque or graveyard now," he stated.

The BJP achieved a significant victory in Haryana by winning 48 out of 90 assembly seats, surpassing the required majority of 46 seats. This victory marked their third consecutive win in the state, overcoming anti-incumbency sentiments and thwarting Congress' comeback aspirations.

Palestine Support

Owaisi continued his advocacy for Palestine by questioning PM Modi's silence on Israel's actions in Lebanon and Gaza. He highlighted that "Israel attacked UN army" and mentioned the deaths of 40,000 people in Gaza. Additionally, he questioned India's decision to supply weapons to Israel.

Owaisi's remarks reflect his ongoing criticism of both Congress and BJP policies while advocating for broader alliances against them. His comments also underscore his concerns about potential social unrest linked to legislative changes affecting religious sites.
