The summer vacations are over for college students while the countdown for the reopening for schools has begun in Telangana.
Junior colleges in Telangana are to reopen on Monday. According to a directive from the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE), junior colleges for the academic year 2024-25 will commence on June 1, with classes for first and second-year students starting on the same day.

The official notice Reads: :"All the principals, management of Junior Colleges offering two-year Intermediate Course and the stakeholders (Students and Parents) of Intermediate Education are hereby informed that the Summer Vacation is going to end on 31-05-2024 (Friday) for all the Junior Colleges. Hence, all the Junior Colleges will reopen on 01-06-2024 (Saturday) for the academic year 2024-25."
When will schools reopen in Telangana?
The new academic year in Telangana for classes 1 to 10 begins on June 12.
The School Education department has released the schedule for the upcoming academic year, detailing a total of 229 working days.
The education department has announced 13-day holiday for the Hindu festival Dasara. Furthermore, there will be five days of vacation for Christmas in Missionary schools and five days for Sankranti in non-Missionary schools.
This schedule aims to strike a balance between instructional time and necessary breaks for both students and teachers throughout the academic year.
The education department has directed the educational institutions to complete the syllabus for classes 1 to 9 by February 28, followed by revision and remedial teaching to prepare students for final assessments in April.
For class 10 students, preparing for the Secondary School Certificate Board examination in March, the syllabus must be finished by January 10, followed by revisions and remedial teaching. Pre-final tests for them must be concluded before February 28.
