Water Levels In Andhra, Telangana Dams Today: Check Water Levels In Srisailam, Nagarjuna Sagar On Sep 3

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are grappling with the aftermath of relentless rainfall over the past three days, which has claimed at least 35 lives across the two states. The unyielding downpour has inflicted severe damage on infrastructure, including rail tracks, roads, and agricultural lands, disrupting daily life and forcing the cancellation and diversion of several trains.

Satellite data captured by the Sentinel-1 on Sunday reveals the scale of the devastation, with vast tracts of land submerged under floodwaters in Telangana's Khammam, Mahabubnagar, and Suryapet districts, as well as Andhra Pradesh's Guntur, Krishna, and Vijayawada districts. The satellite imagery paints a grim picture of the extent of flooding, as rivers overflowed and fields turned into lakes, leaving communities cut off and helpless.

Vijayawada, one of the worst-hit areas, has seen life come to a standstill. Torrential rains have lashed the city, causing more than 24-hour-long power cuts in several parts. Residents have been left in the dark, struggling with the impact of flooding and the lack of essential services. The situation remains dire, with more rain expected in the coming days, further complicating relief efforts.

Authorities are working around the clock to restore normalcy, but the scale of the disaster has overwhelmed local resources. Rescue teams have been deployed, and efforts are underway to evacuate people from the most affected areas. However, with many roads submerged and communication lines down, reaching those in need has proven to be a formidable challenge.

Even as two Telugu=speaking states continue to battle these severe weather conditions, let us take a look at the water levels in dams in Andhra and Telangana.
