TTD: Land Notices to Mutts Issued as Per Court Order, Not Arbitrary
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has firmly denied allegations made by former chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, calling them completely false, misleading, and without factual backing. In an official statement issued on Friday, the TTD said the claims appear to be an attempt to tarnish the image of the revered temple administration.

No Undermining of Vedic Traditions, Says TTD
Responding to allegations regarding the dilution of Vedic practices, the TTD clarified that it has actually strengthened Vedic recitation rituals over the past year. The institution emphasized that it remains committed to preserving traditional spiritual practices.
"It is completely untrue to say there is any attempt to undermine generations of Vedic recitation," the TTD said.
To reinforce this, the divine chant 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' is now played prominently throughout the Tirumala temple premises, including footpaths, queue lines, and service areas.
TTD Reaffirms Respect for Priests and Vedic Scholars
Contrary to claims that temple priests were being disrespected, the TTD asserted its ongoing commitment to the welfare of priests and Vedic students. Several initiatives have been launched to improve their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Temple Notices Issued in Line with Court Orders
Addressing the issue of notices sent to religious mutts, the TTD clarified that these actions were taken strictly under judicial directions. Institutions, including the Visakha Sharada Peetham, received notices only due to land encroachments beyond permitted boundaries.
Pilgrim Services Improved with New Reforms
The TTD highlighted a range of reforms and improvements introduced in the past year to enhance the pilgrim experience, including:
Scientific queue management systems
Addition of 22 new food counters
Free distribution of Annaprasadam, snacks, and beverages
Planned implementation of AI-based darshan management systems
These steps aim to offer pilgrims a smoother, more efficient, and spiritually fulfilling experience at the temple.
TTD Ensures Transparency Post-Parakamani Scandal
In the aftermath of the 2023 Parakamani scandal, the TTD has strengthened security and accountability measures. A Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) and an armoured security system are now in place.
Everyone entering the Parakamani section must undergo strict security screening and verification to ensure full transparency and restore public trust.
The TTD reiterated that all steps taken are aligned with the institution's values of devotion, discipline, and transparency. It urged devotees and stakeholders not to be misled by baseless allegations and reaffirmed its dedication to protecting Vedic traditions and temple sanctity.
