Telangana Tragedy: Family of Four Found Dead in Habsiguda, Investigation Underway
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Habsiguda, Telangana, where a family of four was found dead in their home. The deceased have been identified as Chandrashekhar Reddy, a private employee, his wife Kavitha, and their children, Shritha Reddy (9th grade) and Vishwan Reddy (5th grade). According to the police, the family died by hanging, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
In a separate case, a Nalgonda court sentenced Subhash Sharma to the death penalty for his role in an honour killing case from 2018. Sharma was convicted of murdering Pranay, a Scheduled Caste (SC) man, after being hired by Pranay's father-in-law, who opposed his daughter's marriage. The father-in-law, who was the main accused in the case, had died by suicide earlier.

Nalgonda Superintendent of Police, Sharat Chandra Pawar, revealed that the case was registered in 2018 under the Prevention of Atrocities (PoA) Act, among other charges, and the chargesheet was filed in 2019. Alongside the death penalty for Sharma, six other accused in the case have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
The court's verdict highlights the severity of honour killings and the legal consequences faced by those involved. Meanwhile, authorities continue to investigate the tragic deaths of the Habsiguda family.
