Telangana Rains: Narrow Escape For 4 People As Car Washes Away In Overflowing Stream [Watch]

Four persons narrowly escaped when their car was washed away while crossing a low-lying bridge over an overflowing stream due to heavy rains.

The incident occurred near Nagawaram village in Bantwaram mandal of Vikarabad district on Sunday.

The incident was caught on camera and the clip has now gone viral.

Heavy rainfall swept across several districts of Telangana on Sunday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecasted continued rainfall for today.

On Sunday, several districts of Telangana, previously gripped by summer heat, experienced rainfall. In Hyderabad, GHMC DRF teams cleared fallen trees from various locations in the city.

In Hyderabad, significant rainfall was recorded in numerous areas, including Musheerabad, Asifnagar, Shaikpet, Amberpet, Bahadurpura, Saidabad, Bandlaguda, Himayatnagar, and Khairatabad.

Nevertheless, the maximum temperature in the state remained above 44 degrees Celsius in Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Peddapalli, and Rajanna Sircilla.

In Hyderabad as well, temperatures persist above 42 degrees Celsius in numerous areas of the city.

On the other hand, the weather department predicts that rainfall in Telangana will persist until June 7. A yellow alert has been issued, indicating potential thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls across the state.

Similarly, for Hyderabad, rainfall is expected until June 6, with a yellow alert issued for June 4.

The extent to which the forecasted rainfall from IMD Hyderabad will bring relief to the state's residents remains uncertain.
