Telangana Man, In Relationship With Two Women, Marries Them Simultaneously In Traditional Ceremony
In a recent incident in Telangana's Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, a man named Suryadev from Gumnoor village married two women simultaneously.
He invited both brides, Lal Devi and Jhalkari Devi, to the ceremony, printing their names together on a single wedding invitation.

A video from the event shows the two women holding Suryadev's hand during the rituals, with families and villagers present, accompanied by traditional 'dhol' music.
Suryadev had been in relationships with both women and convinced their families to approve of the marriages.
Initially, village elders were hesitant but eventually supported the union. It's important to note that polygamy is illegal for Hindus in India.
This isn't the first such occurrence in the region. In June 2021, a tribal man in Ghanpur village married two cousins in the same ceremony, with blessings from both families.
Similarly, in March 2023, another man in Bhadradri Kothagudem district married two women in a single event after both families agreed.
