Telangana: KT Rama Rao Criticises CM Revanth Reddy's Rs 10,000 Crore Loan Plan
BRS working president KT Rama Rao has criticised the Revanth Reddy-led government for neglecting public and adopting harmful policies. He highlighted that ordinary citizens are suffering due to the State government's indifference.
Rama Rao took to X to express his concerns, stating that recent heavy rains and government-led demolitions have left many in Telangana homeless. "One is a natural disaster, while the other is a Revanth Reddy-mark disaster. What's common? Ordinary people left on the streets," he remarked.

Revanth Reddy's Loan Plan Criticised
The BRS leader also raised concerns about the government's plan to secure a Rs 10,000 crore loan by mortgaging 400 acres of land designated for IT and allied industries in Hyderabad. He warned that this move could jeopardise the future of Telangana's youth by limiting land use for new industries and job creation.
"I demand the immediate withdrawal of this dangerous proposal," he asserted. Rama Rao urged the government to reconsider its priorities and focus on development rather than risking the State's future for short-term financial gains.
He further criticised the government for abandoning those in need while displacing other voiceless citizens. "Is this what you call people's governance? Shame!" he exclaimed.
Rama Rao's comments come amid growing concerns about the State government's handling of recent crises and its long-term planning strategies. His remarks have sparked a debate on social media about the government's approach to public welfare and economic development.
The proposed loan plan has been a contentious issue, with many questioning its potential impact on Telangana's economy and job market. Critics argue that mortgaging valuable land could hinder future growth opportunities in key sectors.
As discussions continue, Rama Rao's call for prioritising development over short-term financial solutions resonates with many who are concerned about the State's future prospects. The debate highlights the need for careful consideration of policies that affect public welfare and economic stability.
The situation remains dynamic as stakeholders weigh in on the proposed loan plan and its implications for Telangana's development trajectory. The government's response to these criticisms will be closely watched in the coming days.
