The Telangana government has disbursed ₹3.3 crore as ex-gratia to the families of migrant workers from the state who lost their lives in Gulf countries. Under this initiative, each affected family received financial assistance of ₹5 lakh.
Anil Eeravatri, chairman of the Telangana Mineral Development Corporation, played a key role in coordinating the fund release. He worked closely with the state's Special Chief Secretary (Finance and Planning), K Ramakrishna Rao, to ensure timely disbursement as per the directive of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The financial aid was transferred to 66 beneficiaries across various districts in Telangana. Among them, Nizamabad accounted for the highest number of recipients, with 28 families receiving assistance. Jagtial followed with 19 beneficiaries, while Kamareddy had 9, Nirmal 7, and Medak, Ranga Reddy, and Sangareddy districts received one payment each.
Additionally, Eeravatri highlighted that ₹5.15 crore had previously been distributed to 103 beneficiaries under the same scheme. With this latest disbursement, the total financial aid extended in the financial year 2024-25 has reached ₹8.45 crore, benefiting 169 families.
