Telangana Beer Price Hike: Here’s How Much Your Favorite Brand Costs Starting Today
Telangana Beer Price Hike: As temperatures soar in Telangana, beer lovers are facing another kind of heat-rising prices. The state government has implemented a beer price hike effective Tuesday (February 11), making popular brands costlier by ₹30 to ₹40 per bottle.
While officials termed it a 15% increase, the actual maximum retail price (MRP), including taxes, has gone up by 15% to 19% for consumers.

Here's how much your favorite beer brands cost now:
Kingfisher Ultra (650ml): ₹250 (up from ₹210)
Kingfisher Ultra Max (650ml): ₹260 (up from ₹220)
Kingfisher Premium (650ml): ₹180 (up from ₹150)
Kingfisher Strong (650ml): ₹190 (up from ₹160)
The hike follows a recent standoff between United Breweries Limited (UBL) and the Telangana Beverages Corporation Limited (TGBCL). UBL had temporarily halted the supply of Kingfisher and Heineken beers, citing losses due to stagnant prices. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had asserted that the government wouldn't bow to pressure, but the matter was resolved after assurances of reviewing industry concerns.
According to the Telangana Wine Dealers Association, the revised beer prices took effect immediately from Tuesday.
