School Holidays: All Govt, Private Schools To Be Closed For 3 Days In This State

School Holidays: Students in Telangana are in for a treat with a string of upcoming holidays. As schools resume after summer, breaks become scarce, but a welcome exception is just around the corner.

Schools across the state will enjoy a stretch of holidays from July 19 to 21:

• July 19 (Saturday): Most schools will operate for only half a day, while some are closed.
• July 20 (Sunday): Weekend holiday.
• July 21 (Monday): Official public holiday for the Bonalu festival.

Many students are likely to skip the short Friday session, turning it into a full three-day break.

Bonalu Festivities in Full Swing

The Bonalu festival, a vibrant celebration deeply embedded in Telangana's culture, is observed throughout the Ashada month. It began on June 26 with the Golconda Bonalu and continued with grand rituals at Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on July 13 and 14. The Lal Darwaza Simhavahini Ammavari Bonam will be held on July 20, attracting thousands of devotees.
