Owaisi Hits Back At BJP's Nishikant Dubey Over Comments On Supreme Court And CJI

After BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made contentious comments against the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of India, Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi attacked the BJP on Sunday, calling its leaders "tubelights."

Owaisi reminded the BJP of its constitutional foundation by citing Article 142 of the Constitution, which gives the Supreme Court the power to issue orders to guarantee full justice in cases before it. "You BJP members are tubelights. Are you even familiar with Article 142? "Dr. B.R. Ambedkar framed it," Owaisi remarked, criticizing BJP lawmakers for their radical remarks that have religious overtones and endanger the judiciary.

He said, "You are in charge and have turned so radical that you are now threatening the court with a religious war." He cautioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "Modi ji, the country will weaken if you don't stop these people." You won't be in power tomorrow, and the nation won't forgive you.

Owaisi Hits Back at BJP s Nishikant Dubey Over Comments on Supreme Court and CJI

Owaisi's remarks followed remarks made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, who said that Parliament should cease to exist entirely if the Supreme Court keeps acting as a legislative body. "Kanoon yadi Supreme Court hi banayega to Sansad Bhavan band kar dena chahiye" (the Parliament should be shut down if the Supreme Court is going to make laws), was what Dubey had stated.

Additionally, Dubey attacked Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the Chief Justice of India, saying, "Sanjiv Khanna is responsible for all the civil wars happening in this country."

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma expressed similar opinions and questioned the judiciary's jurisdiction. The public is concerned that the Constitution's drafting by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar clearly outlined the functions of the legislature and the judiciary. The President has already ratified the bill, and the Constitution states that no one has the authority to rule the Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha. "The President is supreme, so no one can challenge him," he declared.
