Messi Receives Grand Welcome in Hyderabad

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy attended the event and also took part in the exhibition match organised as part of the tour. The chief minister shared a few passes with Messi on the field, adding to the excitement among spectators. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also present at the venue and was seen clicking photographs with the Argentine football legend.

'It's an Honour to Be Here,' Says Messi

Clearly moved by the warm reception, Messi addressed the crowd with heartfelt words that resonated across the stadium.

"Thank you very much for all your affection. It's an honour for us to be able to spend these days here in India with you, so I'm truly grateful. Thank you so much," Messi said.

His message drew loud cheers from fans, many of whom had waited hours to catch a glimpse of the football great.

Messi's Inter Miami teammates Rodrigo de Paul and Luis Suarez were also part of the Hyderabad event. Both players addressed the crowd and thanked fans for their support.

Luis Suarez added, "Good evening everyone. Thank you for the love. A big hug!"

Tight Security Ahead of Mumbai Visit

With Messi scheduled to visit Mumbai on Sunday, city police have announced strict security arrangements to ensure crowd safety. Officials said items such as water bottles, metals and coins will be prohibited inside stadiums, while watchtowers will be installed for crowd monitoring.

Police authorities also stated that additional precautions are being taken to prevent any stampede-like situation, keeping in mind the unrest that occurred in Kolkata earlier on Saturday. During that event, several fans protested inside Salt Lake Stadium after failing to get a clear view of Messi despite paying high ticket prices.
