A tragic stampede at the Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh's Kashibugga left several devotees dead this morning. The incident has prompted deep sorrow and concern across the state.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu described the event as both "tragic" and "extremely heartbreaking," expressing his condolences to the bereaved families.

CM Chandrababu Naidu Orders Swift Relief and Medical Aid

Following the tragedy, Chief Minister Naidu took to X to share his grief and direct immediate action. "I have instructed the officials to provide speedy and proper treatment to those who have been injured. I have requested the local officials and public representatives to visit the site of the incident and oversee the relief measures," he posted.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government's priority is to ensure that all injured individuals receive timely and effective medical care. Local authorities have been mobilized to the site to coordinate rescue and relief efforts.

Nara Lokesh Expresses Profound Shock Over the Tragedy

Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh also reacted with deep sadness to the devastating incident. He confirmed that the stampede at the temple claimed the lives of "several devotees."

"It has sent us into profound shock," he wrote on X, echoing the grief felt by many across the state. Lokesh added that the tragedy has left a deep void on what was meant to be a holy day of devotion and prayer.

Minister Lokesh further conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims, acknowledging the collective grief that has engulfed the community. "A deep sorrow has gripped us on this Ekadashi day. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. The government is providing better medical treatment to those injured in the stampede. As soon as the information was received, I spoke with the officials, Minister Achchennaidu from the district, and local MLA Gauthu Shirish. I have instructed that immediate assistance be provided to the affected individuals," he stated.
