Hyderabad: Woman’s legs chopped off, severed body parts found on mental hospital roof

In a horrific incident, a body of an unidentified woman with legs chopped was found at Erragadda Mental Hospital in Hyderabad. The killers chopped off the legs of the victim above the ankles and threw the severed body parts on top of the hospital building.

The incident came to light at 4 pm when the locals saw the body and alerted the police as well as hospital staff.

Some speculate that her feet might have been chopped off to obtain the anklets she might be wearing. However, the police also suspect that someone might have murdered her elsewhere and dumped the body at a different location to mislead investigators.

Though the hospital has 16 CCTV cameras, there was no camera covering the murder spot. However, the deceased is not one of the patients. After the body was found the hospital staff checked on all the patients and their attendants and none of them are missing.

The body has been sent for postmortem. Meanwhile, a case has been registered and an investigation underway.
