Hyderabad Weather: Heavy Downpour Leads To Flooding Of Roads, More Rains Predicted
A severe downpour on Monday hit Hyderabad, causing waterlogging and traffic congestion. The rains affected daily life and travel in the city, with residents expressing their frustration online over the city's infrastructure failing to cope with the rain.
Traffic Disruptions Due to Rain
Heavy rainfall has led to significant traffic disruptions in the Telangana's capital. The Hyderabad Traffic Police alerted commuters about slow-moving vehicles due to rain and peak hour congestion. Areas affected include Malakpet Metro Station, Racecourse Road, Yashoda Hospital, Nalgonda X Roads, and RUB towards Chaderghat rotary.

Social media users have highlighted specific areas severely impacted by water accumulation. One user noted that Yakhutpura Ganga Nagar experienced an "insane downpour," suggesting that if the rain had persisted for another 20 minutes, the area would have been completely submerged.
The yellow alert covers eleven districts in Telangana for three days. Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and plan their commutes accordingly as more rainfall is expected in the coming days.
