Hyderabad: TGSRTC Introduces Metro Combi Ticket for GBT and Monthly Pass Users

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has introduced a new travel option for its monthly bus pass holders in Hyderabad with the launch of a metro combi ticket. Priced at just Rs 20 per trip, the new ticket allows General Bus Ticket (GBT) metro express and ordinary monthly pass holders to travel in metro deluxe buses across the Hyderabad region.

This move aims to enhance the travel experience for regular commuters by offering them access to a more comfortable mode of transport for a minimal additional fare. According to officials from TGSRTC's Greater Hyderabad Region, the initiative is designed to ensure more seamless and convenient travel for passengers, while also giving them flexibility and comfort in their daily commute.

In a press release, TGSRTC officials emphasized that the metro combi ticket would serve as an upgrade for existing pass holders, providing them the option to switch to metro deluxe buses without the need for a full ticket. "The combi ticket is being introduced to improve the overall travel experience by offering a more comfortable option to our loyal monthly pass users at a nominal cost," the officials stated.

The metro combi ticket is not a replacement for the monthly pass but serves as an add-on for those who wish to use metro deluxe services occasionally. The ticket can be availed on request and will be issued directly by bus conductors. It will be valid only for a single journey on the metro deluxe bus and must be purchased separately for each trip.

This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of daily commuters who travel using TGSRTC services but wish to experience better amenities during their journey. By allowing greater flexibility and a wider range of options, the corporation aims to increase passenger satisfaction and encourage public transport use in the city.

TGSRTC continues to explore new ways to enhance urban mobility and ease the burden on daily commuters, and the metro combi ticket is another step in that direction.
