Hyderabad Family, Pet Husky Dog Brutally Attacked In Rahmat Nagar, Disturbing Video Goes Viral

A family in Hyderabad, accompanied by their dog, faced a violent attack allegedly due to their pet's actions against a neighbor. According to reports, the dog owner, Srinath, and his sister were hospitalised following the violent altercation.

Telugu Scribe, through their handle, shared a video of the incident, calling it "atrocious." According to their post, a pet dog entered a neighboring house in Maduranagar, leading to a confrontation. Later, Dhanunjay and two companions attacked pet dog owner Srinath and his sister and mother with sticks. The victims are all currently in a hospital undergoing treatment after being beaten up. They are all residents of Rahmat Nagar under the Madhuranagar police station in Hyderabad.

The video shows a man with his pet husky on the side of the road. Suddenly, several men approach from the opposite direction. One man grabs the dog's leash, while others push the owner to the ground and start beating him and the dog with sticks. A woman tries to intervene but also gets attacked. Eventually, two other women arrive and manage to stop the attackers, with one of them preventing a man from throwing a brick at the helpless dog owner.

The video has sparked outrage on social media, with many demanding justice for the assaulted couple. People have tagged Hyderabad City Police, urging them to take action. In response, the department stated that the matter has been brought to the notice of the Madhura Nagar Station House Officer (SHO).

Expressing their shock, social media users have condemned the incident, emphasizing that such brutality cannot be tolerated. Some have vowed to pursue legal action if strict measures are not taken. A journalist has also shared the video, stating that the police are investigating the incident following complaints.

According to the police, the incident unfolded last week when one of the accused, Dhananjay, was on his way to cast his postal ballot at a polling station. Srinath's husky allegedly attacked a relative of Dhananjay, sparking the conflict. Police intervened at the time and resolved the issue.

The Madhuranagar police have registered a case, including the brutal attack on the husky. Five persons have been arrested for the violence, with charges filed under sections 148, 147, and 307 r/w34 of the IPC.
