Hyderabad Couple Arrested For Live-Streaming Explicit Acts For Rs 2,000, Selling Recorded Clips For Rs 500

A 41-year-old man and his 37-year-old wife have been arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly live-streaming their sexual activities via a mobile application in exchange for money, according to police.

The couple, who reside in Mallikarjuna Nagar, Amberpet, were apprehended by the city's task force, which also seized several pieces of equipment, including high-definition cameras, from their residence.

Police stated that the couple admitted to taking part in the acts as a way to earn easy money. The man is said to work as a cab driver.

According to authorities, the duo shared both live and pre-recorded explicit videos with app users-mostly young people-who were willing to pay for such content. A live stream reportedly cost Rs 2,000, while a recorded clip was sold for Rs 500.

The couple allegedly earned significantly more through this operation than the man could earn on his own, police said.

To conceal their identities during the recordings, the couple used HD cameras and reportedly wore masks.

Acting on a tip-off, the East Zone Task Force raided their house on Thursday and took the pair into custody.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, and an investigation is currently ongoing, police added.
