Congress Leader Kicks Indiramma House Beneficiary In Sircilla | Viral Video
A viral video showing a Congress leader kicking an Indiramma housing beneficiary has created a buzz on the internet. The incident reportedly took place in Rallapalli of Thangallapalli mandal.
According to the reports, the victim, Balani Srinivas Goud, was subjected to physical assault for initiating the construction of his house without prior notification to the political figure.
This altercation, which took a violent turn on a Saturday night, only came to public attention when CCTV footage capturing the incident spread across local WhatsApp groups two days later.

The conflict reportedly began when Kishan, the village president associated with the Congress party, discovered that Srinivas Goud had commenced the construction of his Indiramma house. Goud had recently conducted a groundbreaking ceremony, a traditional commencement of construction, which Kishan learned about post-factum. This led to a heated exchange between the two, highlighting the expectation of prior consultation with local political leaders before undertaking such projects.
Despite attempts by village elders to mediate the conflict through a panchayat meeting, urging both parties to exercise restraint, tensions flared anew. The dispute escalated at a hotel near Peddammathalli temple, culminating in Kishan physically assaulting Srinivas Goud. The incident, captured on a nearby CCTV camera, subsequently became a topic of widespread discussion after the footage was circulated within local WhatsApp groups.
This incident sheds light on the broader context of the Indiramma housing scheme, aimed at providing housing for the less fortunate. Rallapeta village was selected as part of a pilot project under this scheme, with several beneficiaries, including Srinivas Goud, embarking on construction endeavors. It also underscores the influence local political figures can exert on community projects and the expectations of communication and deference from constituents.
Following the altercation, Srinivas Goud reported the incident to the Thangallapalli police, seeking justice for the unwarranted aggression he faced. The incident not only highlights the enduring challenges beneficiaries of government schemes often encounter but also raises questions about the role of local politics in these community development projects.
