Hyderabad: Award winning Telugu actor Uday Kiran commits suicide
Hyderabad, Jan 6: Award winning Telugu actor Uday Kiran committed suicide on Sunday, Jan 5, said media reports. According to sources, the actor hanged self.
The actor was alone at his flat situated at Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta
The 33-year-old actor was alone at his flat situated at Srinagar Colony, Punjagutta in Hyderabad on Sunday night. Kiran's wife Vishita found his body hanging.
The actor was rushed to Apollo Hospital at Jubilee Hills. One police official was quoted as saying, "On late Sunday night, Uday Kiran was found hanging from the ceiling in his flat in Srinagar colony."
"His wife Vishita and some neighbours rushed him to Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival," added the official.
However, no official statement regarding Kiran's death has been given yet. Kiran, who also acted in many Tamil films, was last seen in 'Jai Sriram' which was released in Apr 2013.
Kiran earlier was engaged to actor-turn-politician Chiranjeevi's daughter. However, the marriage was called off due to some unknown reason(s). Later he tied the knot with his long-time friend Vishita in 2013.
