Allu Arjun To Spend Night In Chanchalguda Central Jail On 14-Day Remand In Stampede Case

Actor Allu Arjun has been remanded for 14 days and sent to Chanchalguda Central Jail in connection with a tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule.

The Nampally Court has ordered 14 days of judicial custody for Arjun. The incident occurred on December 4, when a massive crowd gathered at the theatre to see the actor. The chaos led to the death of 35-year-old Revathi due to asphyxiation, while her 13-year-old son, Sreethej, was hospitalized with injuries sustained in the stampede-like situation.

Earlier in the day, Hyderabad Police arrested Allu Arjun after questioning him at the Chikkadpally police station. According to authorities, the lack of proper crowd management and security arrangements was a significant factor in the mishap.

A case was registered under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The complaint, filed by the victim's family, alleged negligence on the part of the event organisers.

The Chikkadpally Police registered a case under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against actor Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The complaint was lodged by the victim's family, who alleged negligence on the part of the organisers, according to a report in PTI.

It has to be noted that Allu Arjun had announced Rs 25 lakh compensation to the deceased's family.

However, Revathi's husband Bhaskar has said that he is ready to withdraw the case. He said, "I am ready to withdraw the case. I was not aware of the arrest and Allu Arjun has nothing to do with the stampede in which my wife passed away,"

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa 2 has set the box office on fire. As per the trade reports, it has minted over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office.
