Allu Arjun Arrest: Chiranjeevi Arrives At Allu Aravind's House To Extend Support

As the Hyderabad Police arrest actor Allu Arjun in a stampede case in Sandhya Theatre, his uncle and Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi arrived at his house to show his support to Bunny's family.

Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha arrived at Arjun's father Allu Aravind's house in Hyderabad after the Pushpa actor's arrest. However, they did not speak to media rather entered the house.

However, the family of the actor is yet to break the silence on the development after the the Chikkadpally Police arrested Arjun earlier in the day. The tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre occurred during the December 4 premiere of his blockbuster film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, and left her 13-year-old son, Sreethej, hospitalised.

He has been taken to medical examination to a government hospital.

The stampede occurred as a massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. The lack of crowd management measures and insufficient security arrangements worsened the situation.

In an official statement, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Zone) highlighted the absence of separate entry and exit points for the film crew, which contributed to the chaos. The actor's security team further escalated the situation by attempting to push back the crowd.

Despite police efforts to revive the victims using CPR and rushing them to Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital, Revathi succumbed to asphyxiation.

The Chikkadpally Police registered a case under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against actor Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The complaint was lodged by the victim's family, who alleged negligence on the part of the organisers, according to a report in PTI.
