Bangalore, Aug 27: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday welcomed the ceasefire deal reached between Israel and the Palestinians.
"A brighter future for Gaza and Israel depends on a sustainable ceasefire. It is up to the parties to live up to this responsibility," Ban's spokesman Stephane Dujarric in a statement.
"After 50 days of profound human suffering and devastating physical destruction, any violations of the ceasefire would be utterly irresponsible," Xinhua reported citing the spokesman.
Meanwhile, Brussels is giving hands on training to members to handle Ebola virus. The course, provided by Doctors Without Borders, trains volunteer and medical personnel on precautions to take when entering a zone that contains the Ebola virus.
