Congress candidate from Mandi assembly seat in Himachal: Champa Thakur
Congress candidate from Mandi for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 is Champa Thakur.
Champa Thakur, daughter of the health minister, Thakur Kaul Singh, was elected President Zila Parishad of Mandi district.
Champa, a firebrand woman leader, is harping on her connect with the people of the constituency, citing that as she has represented two different zila parishad segments in the constituency.
Her father, Kaul Singh is a seven-time MLA from nearby Darang segment and is not involved in the campaigning for her daughter.
