Congress candidate from Kasauli Assembly seat in Himachal: Vinod Sultanpuri
Vinod Sultanpuri is contesting Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 on a Congress ticket. In 2012 Himachal Pradesh elections, Sultanpuri had lost to BJP's Rajeev Sahzal by a slim margin of 24 votes.

The BJP has been winning from Kasauli seat since 2007 before which the Congress held it for three terms from 1993 to 2007.
According to myneta.info, Sultanpuri is a resident of Sultanpur in Solan district. He is 30-years-old and an advocate by profession. He holds an LLB degree from Pune's ILS Law College.
Sultanpuri's assets are worth over Rs 3 crore and he has no criminal cases against him.
