Rajesh Kashyap is also the brother of BJP leader Virendra Kashyap, who is a MP from Shimla Lok Sabha seat.

It is going to be an uphill task for Rajesh Kashyap as Shandil is not only the current MLA but also a minister in the Himachal Pradesh cabinet. On the other hand, what may work for Kashyap is the anti-incumbency factor.
