BJP candidate from Darang assembly seat in Himachal: Jawahar Thakur

BJP candidate from Darang for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 is Jawahar Thakur.

In Darang assembly constituency of Himachal Pradesh Assembly, the main battle is between the ruling Congress and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In 2012 Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections, the Congress' candidate Kaul Singh had won the Darang constituency with 28,325 votes. The runner-up was BJP's Jawahar Lal who had managed to win a total of 26,093 votes. To regain the Darang seat in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017, Congress has yet again fielded Kaul Singh. BJP has given the ticket to Jawahar Thakur.
