Is Asaram lying in the face of conviction?

, Sept 2: Till now there has been two occasions when Asaram has been caught lying. First, when he skipped the August 30th deadline to come to the police station, saying that he did not have the time and that he be given time till September 11 since he had lectures and functions to attend.

Undeterred, the police said that his arrest was imminent if he delayed his visit. On August 30, Jodhpur police gets a fax, followed by a media conference by his son Sai that he was not doing well.

However, he was spotted at the Indore airport where he was supposed to take a flight to New Delhi, but was unable to do so because of a clash between his followers and reporters.

There was no news of him for the next two days, though the police suspected that must be holed up in his Indore ashram. Finally, on Sept 1 when he was arrested from there, he makes up a story saying that he is impotent and is not capable of such crime.

Much to his dismay, he cleared the impotency test too. To add oil to the fire, doctors examining him confirmed that he has a sound health. Contrary to the claims that he was unwell and cannot produce himself before the police.

Face the fact, Asaram ji, there is nothing you could do now to save yourself from conviction. The 'Netas' too are shrugging the entire thing off their shoulders.
