The suspended Congress MP and sacked Commonwealth Games-2010 Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalamadi was arrested on April 25, 2011 by CBI on charges of cheating, conspiracy and corruption in connection with awarding game contracts.
Currently, Kalamadi is lodged at the Tihar Jail. The CWG scam resulted in a loss of Rs 95 crore to the exchequer. [Read: The complete details of the CWG scam]
