In the age of social media, misinformation can spread like wildfire. Recently, an alleged letter attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, began circulating on various social media platforms. The letter gained attention and raised questions about its authenticity.
It must be noted that in a letter addressed to poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, slated to hold Assembly elections on November 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the state's remarkable progress over the past two decades. He stated that Madhya Pradesh has transitioned from a 'bimaru' (backward) state to one that is strong, prosperous, and self-reliant. PM Modi emphasized the significant strides the state has taken, reminiscing about the challenging times in 2003 when basic amenities such as electricity, water, and roadways were scarce.

However, it has come to light that the letter was digitally manipulated, casting a shadow over the authenticity of its contents. The doctored version of the letter has been circulating, raising questions about the accuracy of the Prime Minister's words.
To address this issue, PIB Fact Check took the initiative to scrutinize the letter and provide clarity.
