Fact Check: Has Antony Fauci been arrested by the US police?

Recently images of former US president, Donald Trump had gone viral.

Now, pictures of Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases have gone viral and is taking the internet by storm.

The images show, Fauci in various situations being carried by by force.

A tweet read, "Fauci arrested in New York. It looks like DUH winning Trump 2024."

In the Donald Trump images, we found that they had been digitally altered using Artificial Intelligence. The same is the case of Fauci's images as well.

Moreover such a high profile personality being arrested would have made big news. It would have been covered by every media organisation. However, we found no such information anywhere on the internet.

If one looks at Fauci's real image and the one on the viral one, there is a difference. It clearly can be made out that the image of Fauci has been created using Artificial Intelligence. If one looks that top left picture, the cop who is holding Fauci has five fingers. His thumb is also not visible and this indicates that the AI as a technology is still at its early stages and is constantly evolving.

The other image shows that the policewoman has a right hand which is wrongly attached to her left arm.

If you come across such images, just a take a bit of time and check closely. The AI generated images are always different, when compared to real ones.

Hence it is clear that the images that have gone viral are AI generated. In reality, Antony Fauci has not been arrested.

Antony Fauci is the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He has served in many positions for nearly 50 years and has acted as an advisor to the US president since Ronald Regan. Under Donald Trump, Fauci's advise was always contradicted. Trump's supporters believe that Fauci was tiring to undermine Trump's run for re-election.
