OneIndia has learnt that this video has nothing to do with the recently held Karnataka elections.

A reverse search of the viral video led us to a post from April 19 2022. Twitter user, Avishek Goyal had taken a swipe at the BJP and tweeted, " while one should not poke into the domestic disputes of others, one must see this." He also said that the video was from Delhi.

The same day, the video was also tweeted by journalist and filmmaker, Vinod Kapri, who had written in Hindi, "such violence has taken place in the drawing rooms and WhatsApp groups of every house."

A report published by Jansatta on April 20 2022 attributed the original video to Goyal. However it stated that the location of the incident and the reason behind the brawl could not be ascertained.

While it is unclear where this incident had taken place, it can be said it is not a recent one and not related to the Karnataka assembly elections.
