‘Worst Intelligence In History’: Piers Morgan Slams Pakistan Over Bin Laden Hideout

In an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, British journalist Piers Morgan harshly chastised Shehzad Ghias Shaikh, a Pakistani comedian and podcast host, for allegedly claiming that Osama bin Laden was hiding from Pakistani intelligence. In the midst of increased tensions between India and Pakistan, the remark was made during a panel discussion that included Indian journalist Barkha Dutt, influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, and former Pakistani politician Hina Rabbani Khar.

Shehzad Ghias Shaikh used "the bin Laden papers" to back his claim that bin Laden, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks in the United States, was eluding Pakistani police.
"The American intelligence released the 470,000 bin Laden documents, which were not released by Pakistan's DG ISPR. Nelly Lahoud wrote a book that makes it abundantly evident that bin Laden was attempting to conceal these documents from Pakistani intelligence," Shaikh said.

The Indian panellists responded to his assertion right away; Barkha Dutt burst out laughing, while Ranveer Allahbadia appeared noticeably perplexed. But Morgan interrupted to directly refute the claim.

Morgan interrupted, saying, "Hang on, hang on." "With all due respect, Shehzad, I apologise, but what you just said is completely absurd."

He continued by drawing attention to the long-running dispute about bin Laden's whereabouts, pointing out that the al-Qaeda chief had been residing covertly in a safe facility in Abbottabad for years, only a few hundred yards from a significant Pakistani military installation. In 2011, U.S. special troops assassinated him there.

Morgan said sternly, "It must be de facto the worst intelligence in the history of military intelligence if your intelligence didn't know he was there." "They would have discovered the most wanted terrorist in the world who carried out one of the worst terror attacks in history if they had only grabbed a pair of binoculars."

Shaikh's case was effectively disproved by Morgan's biting criticism, leaving little opportunity for reply. Since then, the exchange has garnered attention on the internet, with many people citing it as another instance of Pakistan's intelligence shortcomings in relation to the bin Laden case.
